June Holiday Camp 2012

Day 1 & 2:

Your child will learn basic football skills like dribbling, control, passing, shooting and how to use the skills in 1v1, 2v2 situations. At the end of each session, they will get to practice what they learned by playing small sided games. Nothing teaches football better then football matches.

Day 3 & 4:

Your child will learn about the different playing positions in football and specific skills that are important to those positions. Every child will be given the chance to try out the different roles in matches at the end.

Day 5:

Your child will go through a series of physical and skills challenges, and receive a grading card for his/her effort. To sum up the camp, the participants will be grouped into random teams for the Arion Mini League. Lots of fun and excitement guaranteed!

Arion FA finish their 1st JSSL season

Arion FA Under 8′s finished their first season in the JSSL league. It was a steep learning curve for the boys but after a difficult start to the season they recovered well and managed to record 4 wins.

Next week will see the last game for the under 6′s in the ISA league.

Arion FA kick off the 2010/2011 season with a win

Arion FA’s Under 8 team played their first league match in the 2010/2010 JSSL this morning, 26th Sept. The team had a wonderful outing and won 1-0, with Samuel Gonzalez scoring in the 28th min. See the photos here.

Arion Football Academy Social

Arion FA held its first social gathering of 2010 at the Mana Mana beach club on east coast last Sunday.

Whilst parents and kids were encouraged to just relax and enjoy the setting there was a skill test set up for all try. The kids were very keen and after some persuading quite a few of the parents gave it a go. Winner of the Fathers category was Stuart Elson with an impressive time of 20 seconds and winner of the Mothers category was Tara Horsman Milne with a time of 37 seconds, beating many of the fathers in the process!!

Arion FA would like to thank all that attended and in particular WESTON CORPORATION for their kind sponsorship of sports bags for all the children and MANA MANA for their excellent hosting of the event.
